Enzyme engineering for industry
Removing stains from your clothes, adding flavor to dairy products, making compounds for pharmaceutical industry: all this requires engineered enzymes. ETH professor Andrew deMello and his team invented a microfluidic technology to speed up the enzyme screening process and to make it applicable for industry.
